Today my friends and I decided to work in the studio and with the lighting. I wanted to get the hang of photographing a subject moving with high shutter speeds and a flash for my dance portraits. I got my friends to perform a jump of their choice whilst I tried to capture them on the peak of the jump. This I found slightly tricky as previously I had my camera in continuous shutter mode so I wouldn’t miss the desired shot, but with the flash I only had one take to get the right picture. I also had Melissa Stapleton take some shots of myself in a dance style to experience being in front of the camera to learn how I would need to choreograph and direct movements.
